Emily Wallace is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, and holds a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering. She has always been an avid explorer and environmentalist. She is currently pursuing a renewable energy-related career which not only makes a positive impact on the world, but facilitates her love of travel.
Her interests in renewable energy, travel and leadership blossomed while pursuing her undergraduate degree. She was President of the UC Berkeley chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), a member of the Berkeley Energy and Resources Collaborative (BERC), traveled to Peru with Engineers Without Borders (EWB), and participated in UC Berkeley’s Solar Spring Break with GRID Alternatives, installing photo-voltaic systems on low-income housing.
In her spare time, Emily enjoys listening to music, reading, hiking, practicing flute and playing soccer. She does her best to absorb different perspectives whenever she visits new corners of the world, and hopes to illustrate these experiences with you in this blog.
